
The Nyim print is a playful interpretation of Kuba clothing handwoven by the Kuba people of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kuba cloths are woven by using the strands from raffia palm leaves and are then dyed using natural dyes. This fabric originated in the 17th century it is characterized by bold patterns that suggest movement. "Nyim", is the name for the king of the Kuba people.
